We need volunteers who can mainly assist me on the stall at Dronfield when we are able to stand. We tag our stall as a POP UP CHARITY SHOP, to reflect the eclectic mix of goods we have on offer. We used to have the Community Desk at Crystal Peaks every so often but that stopped at lockdown and they haven’t long ago reinstated it. We need volunteers to help me there if we can get back on the list of charities. We also used to stand at Sharrow Festival but have again, this year, had to decline our invitation.
Even though we don’t make a lot of money at any of these events, it is a good way of getting Doris Banham Dog Rescue’s name out there. We are a tiny Rescue with a lot of damaged dogs that were due to be put to sleep had DB not taken them in. The Rescue is on it’s knees financially especially since lockdown saw the demise of all its charity shops.
Doris Banham Dog Rescue has won awards and really deserves to be more recognised for its amazing work.
