Overview
Ashgate Hospice are in need of 70 marshals at the Sparkle Night Walk on Saturday 1st July to help make the event safe and enjoyable for the 2,500 walkers now signed up. The atmosphere is just fantastic with lots of entertainment throughout the route and witnessing the sea of flashing bunny ears. It is a great event which brings the community together in support of their local hospice.
Marshals will be at various points throughout the 10K route and help direct walkers, keep them safe and cheer them on. All points are in pairs or more so please do bring a friend. If you live in the locality of the route we can allocate you a point nearby your home as we are meeting out on the course for briefings in zones. We’ll provide you with a hi-viz jacket, a two-way radio so you can keep in touch with your zone manager as well as a goodie bag. You’ll be briefed by your zone manager who’ll explain where you need to go and what you need to do whilst there. Marshals are needed from between 9pm and 2am, timings do vary depending on your point.
