About the opportunity
We are looking for Facilities volunteers to meet the changing needs of our ways of
working. They will undertake a variety of practical roles to help ensure that our
Midlands centre is welcoming and a safe environment for all.
By volunteering you will:

What is involved
This opportunity involves a few hours each week. (Monday to Sunday), to fit
around your free time and personal commitments.
Facilities Assistants to undertake a variety of practical roles:
o Grass cutting and strimming
o Help with clearing overgrown areas
o General site clearing and maintenance
o Liaising with staff members, contractors and volunteers
What we require from you
o You live within a reasonable distance of our training centre in order to
commute (post code LE12 9SR)
o Have a means of transport to get to and from the centre
o Minimum age of 18
o Available for a few hours each week
o No experience required
o Identify safety concerns
o Practical and physical role
o Self-motivated with the ability to complete routine and non-routine tasks as
required
o Able to work in an environment with dogs
Support and Training
o Induction process which includes submitting of information form, reference,
shadowing and training opportunities
o We provide in-house support and training
o Refresher training may be required to keep up-to-date with best practice
and policies and procedures
o Reimbursement of pre-approved expenses if requested
o Invitation to join our Official Canine Partners Community Facebook Group
o A point of contact who will support you in your role
o Volunteer clothing and ID badge
