DCT is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, operating in Amber Valley, Bolsover, North-East Derbyshire and Chesterfield. We provide accessible transport solutions to a wide range of service users including county and city council social care and special need contracts, home-to-school provision and a demand response shopping service. We also work with many local voluntary and community groups, providing accessible vehicles as required. The Charity has a proud history having operated for over the past two decades; being the merger of Amber Valley and Chesterfield Community Transport. About the trustees
Trustees hold an important role by providing direction and governance to the organisation. We seek to hold the charity to account; decent, honest and legal. We operate the Board in accordance with Charity Commission guidance. The Board meets approximately once a month. The role is not remunerated although reasonable expenses can be claimed.

About you
The Trustees are currently seeking new members to add their expertise to the Board. We would be particularly interested in applicants with a legal, financial, marketing or transport operations background. Similarly, we are keen to ensure that the Board is representative of the communities we serve so local applicants would be most welcome.
